How the HYDROFORT DAF plant works

Wastewater moves through fully automated technical stages; human intervention is limited to simple, periodic service monitoring:

1

Preliminary screening

Retains solid waste and fish residue, protects internal equipment, and ensures smooth flow through the station.

2

Homogenization basin aeration

Homogenizes stored wastewater and prevents anaerobic reactions and sudden fermentation in the primary tank.

3

DAF unit – dissolved air flotation

Injects air-saturated water to form micro-bubbles that remove grease, oils, and suspended matter with high efficiency.

4

Biological treatment

Treats dissolved organic matter; activated and customized based on factory needs and local environmental authority requirements.

Learn more
5

Sludge filtration

Compresses and dries sludge; with the Hydro Presse filter, filter changes take just ten seconds with no downtime.

Human operation: the station runs fully automatically; human involvement is limited to adding chemicals to adjust pH (after the station's automatic alarm) and monitoring/emptying the dry sludge container once full.

Our solutions

1

Water recycling for reuse

Optional add-on: recycling treated water from an additional stage for washing yards and disinfecting fish transport crates, cutting the water bill.

2

Reduced footprint

The Hydrofort DAF only occupies 75% of the usual floor space thanks to smart engineering, offering flexibility for factories with limited space.

5

A genuinely profitable investment

Sludge drying reduces waste volume and transport costs by up to 80%, with the option to resell it as fertilizer.

OUAFI Solutions commitments (warranty and technical training)

  • Warranty of continuous plant operation for a full 18 months (one and a half years), with no cost to the factory except the chemicals consumed.
  • Free, complete technical training for one employee chosen by the factory, so they can independently handle periodic monitoring, smart alarms and operating instructions.

Factory owner commitments

  • Appoint an employee dedicated to daily periodic monitoring of the plant.
  • Supply and manage the chemicals used in treatment, according to the specifications and dosages provided by OUAFI Solutions.
  • Monitor and empty the dried-sludge container as soon as it is full.
  • Provide the electrical infrastructure required according to the power and equipment agreed in the contract.
  • Connect the plant to a potable water network for filling chemical tanks and cleaning equipment.
